The Rothschild's Giraffe officially listed as Endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

With less than 670 individuals left in the wild, the Rothschild's giraffe is listed as Endangered with the IUCN and is under threat of extinction in the wild.
Since no research has ever been conducted on this imperilled sub-species, the Rothschild’s Giraffe Project has been established to address this issue and provide the first ever scientific survey of Rothschild’s giraffe behaviour, ecology and social structure.
The Project is also working collaboratively with Kenya Wildlife Service and others to develop a suitable conservation strategy for the Rothschild's giraffe in East Africa.
The Rothschild's Giraffe Project is located in Kenya's great Rift Valley, which is home to a high precentage of the world's remaining Rothschild's giraffes.
